Traditional communcation

The field of indigenous communication is enigmatic and quite interesting. Even without realising it, everyone has something to offer to this field. However, the frenetic pace and growth of the modern mass and new media sometimes means that scant consideration is given to these forms, with some going so far as to question its continued relevance. The reality of its continued relevance is well documented in my text - African Communication Systems: An Introductory Text - which I am currently reviewing.
